Indivibes: Summer 2025: Music, Memories, and Milestones
Did y’all miss me? Because I definitely missed you! Summer 2025 was a whirlwind filled with music, travel, and some much-needed joy with the people I love. From big stages to personal milestones, this season reminded me just how much beauty there is in balancing the grind with fun.
Roots Picnic 2025
This summer I went to Roots Picnic for the second time, with my first being back in 2023. I went with my friends, and we all had the best time. This was also the first time I got to see Glorilla, Latto, Tems, and Miguel live, and they did not disappoint. Roots Picnic really feels like Philly’s music Christmas, and being surrounded by that much talent reminded me again why I fell in love with music in the first place.
Odunde Festival 2025
Soon after, I made my way to Odunde 2025, also for the second time, and the energy was just as powerful as the first. I went with my friends again, and they loved every second of it. I met so many dope Black-owned businesses, bought hella stuff, and left feeling inspired and full of pride. Odunde always feels like a homecoming, and this year was no different.
Performing at Silk City
One of the highlights of the summer was performing “Just A Taste” with Shauna Moon at Silk City. Not only was it amazing to share our song live and see people vibe with it, but I also met so many other talented artists that night. We exchanged Instagrams, cheered each other on, and enjoyed every open mic performance. Philly always shows out, and that night reminded me how powerful it is to build with other creatives in the city.
Barbie Bachelorette in DC
Of course, it wasn’t all music and festivals. I also made time to celebrate my friend Amber with her Barbie-themed bachelorette in DC. Think pink everything, laughter until our cheeks hurt, and memories we’ll be laughing about for years.
My 31st Birthday
This summer also marked my 31st birthday. I spent it surrounded by family and friends, soaking in love and reflecting on how far I’ve come. Entering this new chapter feels powerful. I’m stepping into my 30s with intention, gratitude, and a sharper vision for what’s ahead.
Creating and Building
Outside of all the fun, I’ve been locking in on music and content. I started creating an intro and outro video for my YouTube, so the Asaámbly can always step into my world with a little extra flair. It’s all part of building something lasting and authentic.
This summer was truly one for the books. Between the stages, celebrations, and quiet moments of reflection, I’m grateful for every single memory. If this season taught me anything, it’s that balance is possible. You can chase your dreams and still make space for joy.
Here’s to the next chapter. 💫
